The Beer and District Horticultural Society was founded 85 years ago and is thus one of the oldest, if not the oldest, organisation in Beer.

Its Committee has presently approximately 25 members. It organises the Flower Show, which takes place on the first Thursday in August, the Charm Chrysanthemum Show which takes place on the first Sunday in November and it prepares the village for the Judges who judge the village in connection with the Britain in Bloom competition.
The Commettee members and a number of village volunteers care for and maintain the floral displays in the village during the flowering season.

New members are always welcome.
