The Village of Beer: East Devon

Pecorama

Pecorama, one of East Devon’s leading tourist attractions is set on the hillside above the village. Pecorama is home to the world’s foremost manufacturer of model railway track and the award–winning Beer Heights Light Railway, a 7 ¼ inch gauge miniature railway with coal-fired steam locomotives that carry passengers on a mile-long ride through the attractive flower-filled gardens that include the Millennium Garden – a series of celestially themed ‘garden rooms’ that are linked by scented walkways, special water features and stunning stonework.

The site also houses the PECO Model Railway Exhibition & Shop and a restored Orion Pullman carriage that now serves morning coffee, lunchtime snacks and afternoon teas with homemade cakes and Devon cream teas.

The newest facility is The Pecorama Play Station, a purpose built indoor adventure play area for children – ensuring that fun can be had whatever the weather.

Please call us or visit the Pecorama website for opening times and the latest information.
